They will also be introduced to other complementary disciplines, such as economics, law, philosophy, politics, and sociology. Through these disciplines, our learners will have the opportunity to become ethically informed citizens of Wales and the world. In lessons, our learners will develop curiosity of the world around them through exploring and investigating contemporary and historical contexts; contemplate different perspectives on human events and experiences to help promote understanding of ethical and cultural diversity; appreciate the diversity of the natural world and how the environment and human actions interrelate; understand the complexity of human societies and how they\u2019re shaped by different actions and beliefs; and as a result, our learners will become informed and self-aware citizens of the world who are able to engage with challenges facing humanity and take considered and ethical action.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By clicking on the links below, you\u2019ll see a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">detailed overview of our themes for each concept within the Humanities over the course of the year<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These are a summary of what matters in the AoLE and information on the work to be undertaken in each concept.
